General Information

  • What is USDC?

USDC (USD Coin) is a type of cryptocurrency called a stablecoin. It's designed to always be worth 1 USDC ≈ 1 USD. Because of its stability, USDC is often used for fast and low-cost digital payments, including sending and receiving money across borders (remittances).

  • What is a digital asset wallet?

A crypto wallet lets you receive, store, send, and convert cryptocurrencies. In this app, your wallet supports USDC on the Solana and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) networks.

  • Which networks does the wallet support?

    Your wallet works with:

    • Solana (SOL) – known for fast, low-cost transactions
    • Binance Smart Chain (BSC) – widely supported and efficient

Make sure to choose the correct network when receiving or sending funds.

  • Can I swap USDC to Digital Barbados Dollars (dBBD)?

Yes! After receiving USDC, you can swap it to dBBD directly in the app. The swapped amount will be added to your regular mMoney Digital Barbados Dollar balance.

  • How do I receive USDC?

    To receive USDC:

    • Go to your wallet in the app
    • Select the correct network (Solana or BSC). (Ask the sender which one they are using.)
    • Share your wallet address or let them scan your QR code

Tip: Always double-check that the sender uses the same network you selected.

  • Can I receive remittances in USDC?

Yes. Friends or family abroad can send you USDC, and you can easily swap it to dBBD in the app for local use.

  • Why use USDC for remittances?

    • You support USDC on Solana and BSC
    • You'll share your wallet address and network with them to send the funds

You can copy your address or use the QR code from the app

  • Is there a fee to receive remittances in USDC?

No. There is no fee to receive USDC. However, swapping USDC or sending it out may involve a small network (gas) fee.

  • What if someone tells me to pay a "release" or "transfer" fee?

Be careful. You should never pay a fee upfront to receive a remittance. This is a common scam tactic so please contact support if unsure.
